Please read these Terms and Conditions (‘Terms’) carefully before using any Chennai Maratha restaurant, website, mobile application, or related services. By accessing our premises or using our digital platforms, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using our services.
About Chennai Maratha
Chennai Maratha is a multi-outlet restaurant chain offering an authentic blend of South Indian and Maharashtrian cuisine. Our outlets are operated by Chennai Maratha Restaurant Chain Pvt. Ltd., a company registered under the Companies Act, 2013, India. References to ‘Chennai Maratha’, ‘we’, ‘our’, or ‘the Company’ refer to this entity and its authorised franchisees.
Use of Our Services
Dine-In
Guests are welcome at our restaurants during operational hours. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual who is visibly intoxicated, behaves in a disorderly or abusive manner, or violates our in-house policies. Reservations, if made, are held for a maximum of 15 minutes beyond the booked time.
Online Ordering
Orders placed through our website, mobile app, or third-party delivery platforms are subject to availability. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to stock unavailability, technical errors, or suspected fraudulent activity. In the event of a cancellation, you will be notified promptly and any payment collected will be refunded.
Takeaway and Delivery
Delivery is available within designated areas around our outlets. Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary due to traffic, weather, or high order volumes. We shall not be liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.
Menu and Pricing
Our menu offerings and prices are subject to change without prior notice. Prices displayed on third-party aggregator platforms may differ from our in-restaurant pricing. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Seasonal and limited-time offerings are available only while stocks last.
Chennai Maratha strives to maintain the authenticity of traditional South Indian and Maharashtrian recipes while accommodating modern dietary needs. Customers with allergies or dietary restrictions are advised to inform our staff before placing orders. While we take all reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
Payments
- We accept cash, major credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, and popular digital wallets
- Payment is due at the time of ordering for online and takeaway services
- For dine-in, payment is due at the end of the meal
- We do not store full card details; all card transactions are processed by PCI-DSS compliant gateways
- In case of payment failure, please do not attempt multiple transactions before verifying with your bank
- Disputed charges must be raised within 30 days of the transaction date
Cancelations and Refunds
Online Orders
- Orders may be cancelled within 5 minutes of placement, provided preparation has not commenced
- Once food preparation begins, cancellations are not accepted
- Refunds for eligible cancellations will be processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method
Wrong or Damaged Orders
If you receive an incorrect or damaged order, please contact us within 2 hours of delivery with photographs as evidence. We will arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion.
Reservations
Reservation cancellations made less than 2 hours before the booking time for groups of 6 or more may be subject to a cancellation fee as communicated at the time of booking.
Loayalty Programme
Chennai Maratha’s loyalty programme rewards regular guests with points on eligible purchases. The following terms govern participation:
- Points are awarded solely on food and beverage purchases, excluding taxes, delivery charges, and third-party platform orders
- Points have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash
- Accumulated points expire after 12 months of account inactivity
- The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the loyalty programme with 30 days’ notice
- Fraudulent activity or misuse of the programme will result in immediate account termination without refund
Intellectual Property
All content on our platforms including but not limited to the Chennai Maratha name, logo, recipes, images, menu designs, and written content are the exclusive property of Chennai Maratha Restaurant Chain Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of our intellectual property without prior written permission. Unauthorised use of our brand assets may constitute trademark infringement.
User Generated Content
By submitting reviews, photographs, or other content to our platforms or social media channels, you grant Chennai Maratha a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display such content for marketing and promotional purposes. You confirm that any content you submit does not infringe third-party rights and does not contain defamatory, obscene, or unlawful material.
We reserve the right to remove any user-generated content at our discretion without notice.
Code of Conduct
Customers visiting our restaurants or engaging with our digital platforms agree to:
- Treat staff and fellow guests with respect and courtesy
- Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour
- Not engage in any illegal activities on our premises or through our platforms
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt our website or mobile application
- Not post false, misleading, or defamatory reviews about our food, services, or staff
Violation of our Code of Conduct may result in being asked to leave our premises, account suspension, or legal action as deemed appropriate.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Chennai Maratha shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services
- Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities arising from service interruptions
- Personal injury or property damage caused by the guest’s own negligence
- Delays or failures caused by third-party delivery partners or service providers
Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the value of the order or transaction in dispute.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chennai Maratha, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of our services, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Third-Party Platforms
Chennai Maratha’s food may be available through third-party delivery aggregators such as Swiggy, Zomato, and others. While we ensure the quality of food prepared in our kitchens, we are not responsible for delivery delays, packaging damage, or errors caused by third-party platforms. Disputes relating to third-party platform orders should be directed to the respective platform.
Hygiene and Food Safety
Chennai Maratha is committed to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) regulations. Our kitchens undergo regular inspections and our staff receive ongoing food safety training. Customers with specific allergies must inform our staff prior to ordering as cross-contamination cannot be fully guaranteed.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.
If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 of India, with the seat of arbitration in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings arising from these Terms.
Amendments
Chennai Maratha reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be published on our website and mobile application. It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
